Patch test on a small area 24 hours before your first full tan. Tan at least a day after shaving or waxing, and avoid broken or irritated skin. If you have a skin condition, check with your doctor first.

Exfoliate the day before, then moisturise dry spots like elbows, knees and ankles just before you tan. Apply the mousse with a tanning mitt in circular motions and let it develop for six to eight hours before rinsing. Moisturise every day afterwards to help it fade evenly.
