We use it as the daily moisturiser step, then layer Prevention+ Daily Matte Moisturizer SPF 32 over it to absorb excess sebum on very oily skin.

Silica at sixth is what actually mattifies, with aloe leaf juice second so the base soothes rather than strips. There is no salicylic acid in it, which surprises people given the Clear Cell name, and the oligopeptide-10 aimed at blemish bacteria sits at the very end. It contains honey extract, so it is not vegan, and lavender oil.
