Advanced Nutrition Programme FAQs

What is Skin Accumax and who is it for?

Skin Accumax is the product the brand is built on and the one most people arrive looking for. It is aimed at problem skin, congestion and breakouts, taken as a course rather than as something you dip in and out of.

It comes in 60, 120 and 180 capsules plus a Multi Pack. The larger sizes exist because it is meant to be taken for months, not weeks, so the small pack is usually a false economy if you are serious about it.

Follow the directions on the pack for how much to take and when. Read question five before starting if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding or taking anything prescribed for your skin.

How long before I see a difference?

Longer than skincare. Supplements work through skin that is still being made, and a skin cell takes weeks to travel from the bottom of the epidermis to the surface, so nothing you swallow today shows up next week.

Three months of taking it properly is the fair test. If you have taken something consistently for that long and nothing has changed, it is not the right product for you and a different one is unlikely to be the answer either.

Consistency matters more than dose. Two months of taking it every day beats four months of remembering half the time.

Which one should I take?

Start with your main concern and take one thing for it.

  • Breakouts and congestion: Skin Accumax, or Skin Clear Biome if you want to start with the gut side
  • Dryness: Skin Omegas+, Skin Moisture Lock or Skin Moisture IQ
  • Ageing and firmness: Skin Collagen Support or Skin Youth Biome
  • Dullness: Skin Vit C or Skin Antioxidant
  • Hair and nails: Nail Science
  • Everything at once: Skin Ultimate or Skin Complete, which are pre-built combinations

If you are not sure, Skin Omegas+ is the least targeted and the easiest to justify long term.

Can I take more than one at the same time?

Often yes, and the brand builds combinations for exactly that. Skin Ultimate and Skin Complete are several products packaged together, and the Skin-Gut Biome Duo and the Clearing Duo Bundle pair two that are meant to be taken alongside each other.

The thing to watch is doubling up on the same nutrient without realising. Read the labels of anything you are combining, including supplements from other brands and any multivitamin you already take, and add up what you are actually getting.

Vitamin A is the one to be most careful with. Skin Accumax and Skin Vit A+ are both vitamin A based, so check the labels before taking them together or alongside anything else containing vitamin A.

Is there anyone who should not take these?

Supplements are not automatically harmless because they are sold without a prescription, so there are a few cases where you should get advice before starting rather than after.

  • Pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, particularly with anything containing vitamin A
  • Taking prescription medication of any kind, including anything prescribed for your skin
  • Managing a diagnosed condition or taking blood thinners, which matters for the omega products
  • Under 18, or buying for someone who is
  • Allergic to fish or shellfish, again for the omega products

Your GP or pharmacist is the right person to ask, and bringing the pack or a photo of the label makes that conversation a lot quicker. We are not able to advise on medication or medical conditions.

What is the difference between Skin Clear Biome and Skin Youth Biome?

Both work on the gut, and the difference is what they are aimed at.

  • Skin Clear Biome is for breakouts and congestion, and there is a 10 Day Discovery Pack if you want to try it before committing
  • Skin Youth Biome is for ageing, firmness and skin that looks tired

Biome Powder, Skin Integrate and the Skin-Gut Biome Duo sit in the same part of the range if you want to go further down that route.

There is no need to take both. Pick the one that matches what is actually bothering you and give it three months.
